Take Away Hunger Packaging Event

Take Away Hunger (formerly Kids Against Hunger) will hold its first packaging event at the St. Mary’s Education Center on September 11th.
Grinnell UCC is hoping for 2 teams (24 volunteers) to help package food. The packages will still be nutritious but have slightly more flavor as the new reciepe developed by Iowa State University nutritionists will have an onion base.
Each participant will pay $30 for the opportunity to help end world hunger. Please sign up in the church parlor beginning August 7th. Make your check payable to Grinnell UCC with “Take Away Hunger” on the memo line. If you cannot package, please consider making a donation so that a child can participate.
