Care of Creation
The Iowa City Unitarian Universalist Society broke ground on Earth Day, 2016 at their new location in Coralville where they hope to build the greenest cfhurch in Iowa. The new church will be entirely powered by on-site renewable energy. It will include more than 400 solar panels, a geothermal system and efficient lighting and mechanical systems to reduce energy consumption.
Come help the church with spring cleaning on May 7th from 9 a.m. to noon.
On May 8th Jim Ahrens will share his faith journey with the Seekers. Jim has had a variety of life experiences, including being a teacher/professor, serving with the military (being stationed overseas), and recently has recovered from a stroke. You won’t want to miss his sharing with the class. As always, everyone is welcome.
